What’s something most people don’t understand?
Anxiety.
Not the word…
Not the idea…
But what it actually feels like to live with it every single day.
Because from the outside, it can look like:
“She’s fine.”
“She’s just overthinking.”
“She worries too much.”
But on the inside?
It feels like your chest is tight for no reason.
Like your mind won’t shut off no matter how tired you are.
Like something is wrong… even when everything is technically okay.
People don’t understand that anxiety isn’t just “being stressed.”
It’s:
• Overanalyzing every conversation
• Replaying things you said hours ago
• Feeling on edge in completely normal situations
• Getting overwhelmed by things that seem small to others
And one of the hardest parts?
Trying to explain it…
to people who have never felt it.
Because how do you explain something that doesn’t always make sense… even to you?
I’ve lived with anxiety and panic for years.
And I can tell you this:
It’s not weakness.
It’s not attention-seeking.
It’s not something you can just “snap out of.”
But here’s what people also don’t understand…
You can learn to manage it.
You can feel better.
You can take your life back.
Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.
If you’re reading this and thinking,
“this is exactly how I feel…”
You’re not alone. 🤍
