My Answer:
Honestly… it’s the getting myself started part.
Not the actual task itself.
Not the writing.
Not the sharing.
Not even the editing.
It’s the 5–10 minutes right before I begin where anxiety loves to whisper:
“Do this later.”
“Scroll first.”
“You’re tired.”
“You can’t focus right now.”
That tiny window is where I try to skip if I can — because that’s where resistance lives.
But the moment I just begin — even with one tiny step — everything shifts.
And every day I’m learning that I don’t have to feel motivated first…
I just have to start.
💛 If you feel this too — you’re not alone.
P.S. If you’re working on showing up even when anxiety tries to talk you out of it — I write daily posts that help with exactly that.

Interestingly expressed, got me thinking that the “tiny window” is the difference between the cog remaining stationary and the cog turning ⚙️ … “the moment I just begin – even with one tiny step – everything shifts” … that’s the cog turning, pushing it into motion starts it spinning and so momentum is generated and propulsion ensues.
Thanks for the reminder!
