What is one word that describes you?

One word that describes me: Resilient.

Not because life has been easy for me… but because it hasn’t.

About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and panic disorder. At the time, it felt like my entire world had shifted. Things that once felt simple suddenly became overwhelming. My mind raced constantly, my body was always on edge, and I wasn’t sure if I would ever truly feel calm again.

But resilience isn’t about never struggling.

It’s about continuing to move forward even when things feel heavy.

Over the years I’ve learned how to cope with anxiety, how to understand what my mind and body are doing, and how to slowly build a life that feels calmer and more balanced. It hasn’t been perfect, but every step forward has mattered.

That journey is also the reason I started my blog and created Helping You Cope.

Because I know I’m not the only one who has felt this way.

If my experiences can help even one person feel less alone in their anxiety, then every challenge I’ve faced has had purpose.

So if I had to choose one word to describe myself, it would be resilient.

No matter how difficult things have been, I’ve always kept going.

And if you’re reading this while struggling, I want you to know something important — you are stronger than you think. 🌿
