If I’m being honest…
I wish I could slow down more every single day.
Life moves so fast. Work, responsibilities, stress, expectations, bills, worries about the future… it all piles up before we even realize it.
And when you live with anxiety, that feeling gets amplified.
Your mind rarely stops.
Even when everything around you is quiet, your thoughts keep going.
Did I do enough today?
Did I say the wrong thing?
What if something goes wrong tomorrow?
For years, my mind lived in that constant loop.
And the truth is… sometimes it still does.
But if there’s one thing I wish I could do more every day, it’s this:
Pause and actually breathe.
Not the quick shallow breaths we take while rushing through life.
I mean the kind where you stop for a moment and remind yourself:
Everything doesn’t have to be solved today.
Everything doesn’t have to be perfect.
You are allowed to slow down.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to take a moment for yourself.
For me, learning that has been a long journey.
About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and panic disorder, and every day since then has been about learning how to cope, how to calm my mind, and how to keep moving forward.
Some days are easy.
Some days are harder.
But the small moments of calm — those are the ones that matter most.
A quiet walk.
A deep breath.
A moment where your mind finally settles.
Those moments remind you that peace is still possible.
And if you struggle with anxiety too, I want you to know something important:
You’re not weak.
You’re not broken.
And you’re definitely not alone.
Millions of people fight this battle every day.
That’s actually why I created a small guide called “Calm Me Right Now.”
It’s a simple step-by-step guide with the exact techniques I personally use when anxiety starts building and I need relief in the moment.
If your mind ever feels like it’s going a mile a minute, it might really help you.

And if today feels overwhelming, try this:
Pause.
Take one slow breath.
Then another.
That moment of calm you’re looking for might only be one breath away.
