Daily writing prompt
Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

What makes someone unique?

Is it their personality?

Their appearance?

Their achievements?

For a long time, I thought being “unique” meant standing out in a big, obvious way… being confident, outgoing, fearless.

But the truth?

Most of us don’t feel like that at all.

Especially if you struggle with anxiety.

Because anxiety has a way of making you feel the opposite of unique.

It tells you:

  • You’re too much
  • You’re not enough
  • You’re different in the wrong way

And over time… you start believing it.

But here’s what I’ve learned after living with anxiety and panic disorder for over 20 years:

👉 Your uniqueness isn’t loud. It’s layered.

It’s not just what people see.

It’s:

  • The battles you fight silently every day
  • The strength it takes to keep going when your mind is against you
  • The way you care deeply (sometimes too deeply)
  • The fact that you didn’t give up

There are people out there who will never understand what it feels like to sit with anxiety in your chest…

…and still show up anyway.

That alone makes you different.

That makes you strong.

That makes you unique in a way that actually matters.

💭 Your thoughts

💭 Your experiences

💭 Your healing journey

No one else has lived your exact story.

Not one person.

And maybe your uniqueness isn’t meant to make you stand out to the world…

Maybe it’s meant to help someone else feel less alone.

Because when you share your story—even a little bit—

You become someone else’s:

  • comfort
  • proof
  • hope

🌿 And that matters more than anything.

You are not “too much.”

You are not broken.

You are someone who has been through things… and is still here.

And that alone makes you unique.
