When people think of anxiety…

This is one of the most common — and most alarming.

It can feel like pressure or heaviness.

Even though it’s caused by muscle tension and stress.


2. Dizziness or Lightheadedness

Anxiety affects your breathing and circulation.

Which can leave you feeling off-balance or disconnected.


3. Tingling or Numbness

Often in your hands, feet, or face.

This comes from changes in breathing and nerve sensitivity.


4. Muscle Tension

Especially in your:

  • Neck
  • Shoulders
  • Jaw

This can lead to constant soreness or tightness.


5. Fatigue

Even if you haven’t done much physically.

Your body is working overtime internally.

That’s exhausting.


6. Stomach Issues

Anxiety and your gut are closely connected.

You might notice:

  • Nausea
  • Upset stomach
  • Loss of appetite

7. Heart Palpitations

Feeling your heart race, skip, or pound.

Even when you’re sitting still.

Because it feels real.

Physical symptoms make anxiety feel more serious.

More urgent.


And your brain naturally goes to:

“What if this is something else?”


That fear can make the symptoms feel even stronger.

Not ignoring it.

Not panicking over it.

But understanding it.


1. Recognize It for What It Is

When you understand:

“This is anxiety”

It removes some of the fear.


2. Calm Your Body

Your body needs reassurance.

Try:

  • Slower breathing
  • Gentle movement
  • Sitting in a calm space

3. Reduce the Fear Around the Symptoms

The symptoms themselves aren’t dangerous.

It’s your body reacting — not failing.
