There’s a type of exhaustion that only people with anxiety truly understand.
It’s not the exhaustion from lack of sleep.
Not the exhaustion from a long workday.
Not even the exhaustion from being busy.
It’s the mental exhaustion that comes from:
✨ constantly analyzing every situation
✨ replaying conversations you had days ago
✨ worrying about things that haven’t happened
✨ preparing for every possible outcome
✨ trying to “stay calm” when your body is on high alert
✨ pretending to be fine when you’re falling apart inside
🌿 There’s a little more I want to say about this — the deeper, more personal part — and I’ll talk about that in an upcoming paid post.
This kind of exhaustion doesn’t show up on your face the same way a sleepless night does.
It shows up in your heart.
In your breath.
In your mind’s ability to cope with even the smallest stress.
And here’s the part most people don’t understand:
You’re not tired because you’re “dramatic.”
You’re tired because your nervous system has been running a marathon no one else can see.
If you’re feeling that invisible exhaustion today, I hope you give yourself permission to rest — without guilt.
You don’t have to earn rest.
Being human is reason enough.
