You know that moment when your anxiety spirals out of control; your heart pounds, your mind races and afterward, you just feel….empty? I used to get stick in that stage for days, blaming myself for “letting it happen again.”

But the truth it…..anxiety spirals don’t make you weak. They mean your body and mind have reached their limit. What matters most is how you take care of yourself afterwards.

  • Breathe And Ground Yourself

After a spiral, your nervous system needs to reset. Try placing your hand over your heart and breathing slowly until your body softens and your heartbeat returns to normal.

  • Let Go Of Guilt

You didn’t choose to spiral. Beating yourself up only feeds the anxiety. Instead, say “I had a hard moment, and that’s okay.”

  • Reconnect With Comfort

Drink water, take a warm shower, or go outside. Small comforts remind your body that you’re safe.

Daily affirmation:

” I can return to calm after chaos. I am always capable of finding peace again.”

I’ve been through countless spirals myself. I talk about what those moments taught me in Living With Anxiety for 20 Years — What I Wish Someone Told Me Sooner.
